Taken from radio broadcast it was widely bootlegged, before it got an official release earlier this year as part of the expanded reissue of their Balance album. Portraits At The Penthouse: Live in Seattle captures previously unreleased live recordings of jazz pianist Bill Evans on May 12 and 19, 1966 with bassist Eddie Gomez and drummer Joe Hunt. The tracks were recorded by radio DJ Jim Wilke for KING-FM radio. It will be released on vinyl for Black Friday (November 28). Caveat: overlong running time for both sides, which will surely affect the sound quality.

The songs that English ska band The Beat recorded for the BBC have been rounded up for 2LP for Black Friday (November 28). The Beat at The BBC all three John Peel Sessions as well as two songs they laid down for the Mike Read Show and the David Jenson Show.
Four songs from Matt Berninger's performance at London's Union Chapel on April 5, 2025 will be released as a limited 10" EP for Black Friday (November 28). It features one track from his solo debut, Serpentine Prison, and three from this year's Get Skunk. 1900 copies worldwide.

A seminal Tangerine Dream show in Canada from 1977 will be released for Black Friday (November 28). Live at Place des Arts, Montreal - April 9, 1977 features the full show on a 3LP - six sidelong pieces - in a tri-fold jacket. 1500 copies worldwide.
Two B.B. King concerts will be released on the Broadcasting The Blues: Live From Germany and Sweden album on Black Friday release (November 28). The shows were recorded for the German "Swing In" TV show on January 19, 1968, and at the Stockholms Konserthus in Sweden on June 22, 1974, broadcasted on Swedish television. 2LP (2500 copies worldwide) and 2CD.
A bunch of early Jorma Kaukonen recordings get a Black Friday release (November 28). Wabash Avenue, named after the address he was living at in San Jose, contains material that he laid down in 1965 on a reel to reel recorder. It will be available as a 2LP (2000 copies) and CD (1000 copies). And yes, Embryonic Journey is the instrumental that would be revisited for inclusion up on Jefferson Airplane's second album Surrealistic Pillow.
Live in Copenhagen, 1968 captures the early and late show by The Doors on September 17, 1968 at Falkoner Centret. It will be released as a limited 2LP set (5300 copies worldwide) and CD on Black Friday (November 28).

A legendary Tangerine Dream show from 1974 will be released for Black Friday (November 29). Live At Kelvin Hall, Glasgow was recorded on November 20th by Radio Clyde during the band's first UK tour.
The concert by the original Edgar Froese, Christoph Franke and Peter Baumann line-up has been making the rounds among collectors for decades, but was never released on vinyl. Nice touch to add a bit from the band's appearance at the Metamusik Festival in the National Galerie, Berlin on October 13th, 1974 on side four instead of going for a lame etched side.
The sets performed by Buffalo Springfield and The Byrds at the Monterey festival in June 1967 will be released as a 2LP on Black Friday (November 29). David Crosby was on stage with both bands.
Three songs from the set Keith Richards and the X-pensive Winos played at the Love Rocks NYC benefit concert in New York on March 10, 2022 are released on an EP for Black Friday (November 29): 999, You Got the Silver and Before They Make Me Run. The flip-side is etched.

Live in Detroit, recorded at the Cobo Arena on May 8, 1970, captures The Doors in full flight. The show will be released as a pricey 4LP set on Black Friday (November 29). 5000 copies worldwode. It was previously released in 2000 as a 2CD as part of the band's Bright Midnight series. Also: 2025 marks the 60th anniversary of the band when they got the ball rolling in California, so there will be plenty of reissues and the like.
More Jimi Hendrix product: five songs from the Songs For Groovy Children: The Fillmore East Concerts box set are being released on blue and violet swirl vinyl on Black Friday (November 29). 4500 copies worldwide. A missed opportunity to release the five tracks from the second show on December 31, 1969 that were not included on the set instead.

Live at the Grande Ballroom Detroit, Michigan - March 2, 1968, an above average concert by Big Brother & The Holding Company (featuring Janis Joplin) will be released on vinyl on Black Friday (November 29). The band played two back-to-back shows at the venue (March 1 & 2) for a live album, but the band's producer John Simon and manager Albert Grossman did not like the results and the recordings were shelved.
Jazz and blues pianist Mose Allison led his trio through a inspired set at a concert at the Showboat Lounge, Silver Springs, MD on March 26, 1978. Tom Rutley (bass) and drummer Jerry Granelli (drums) could follow his lead within the blink of an eye. The show is now released as Live 1978 for Black Friday (November 25). 2000 copies worldwide.
The Jonathan Richman & The Modern Lovers album has not been released on vinyl since 1985, when it was last pressed in Spain. 3000 copies worldwide will be available on Black Friday (November 25). Don't sleep on this one.
