Red Hearted Vibrations: Dead Girl Walking

Glaswegian rock band Red Hearted Vibrations filmed the video for their new single Dead Girl Walking in a prison in Inverary, telling the tale of inmate of death row. They went for a big guitar sound, with a country-tinged harmonica part to kick the ball rolling and set the stage for Laura Nelson's powerful vocals. They used a bit of North-American imagery for the cclip, like the orange uniforms worn by the band members.

The band's guitarist Ewan Driver used the stories from his grandma who grew up near HMP Barlinnie in the days when the death penalty was still part of the penal system in the UK (it was abolished in 1969).

Glaswegian rock band Red Hearted Vibrations have made a video for their Wildfire single, a power ballad "with the token screaming guitar solo and ... wait for it ... a keyboard solo as well. The lyrics paint a dark picture, coming straight out of the fantasy genre that now has become a reality". The clip was directed by James Mackenzie.

Red Hearted Vibrations: Wildfire

Glaswegian rock band Red Hearted Vibrations are still in power ballad mode with their new single Wildfire, with the token screaming guitar solo and ... wait for it ... a keyboard solo as well. The lyrics paint a dark picture, coming straight out of the fantasy genre that now has become a reality: "Lost and all alone, an amber blaze and molten stone // We’re taking life for granted, they’ve had and lost a home // A city of plants and trees, darkened by the smoke // The spread of mankind’s disease, tearing flesh from bone". It's a bit over the top for sure, but it sounds great. Back in the day these would have been the cye for the audience to lift their lighters in the air as a gesture of appreciation.

Glaswegian rock band Red Hearted Vibrations are back with a put down power ballad. I'll Be On The Mountain starts up softly, builds up to towering crescendo before coming full circle to a quiet coda.

Getting even through music is the perfect way that the former subject affection is that "there will be a day, when you will look around // and Iʼll be on the mountain // youʼll be on the ground". Whoever fucked over songwriter Scott Brown, it's now out in the open for the world to hear.

It is a heart-wrenching ballad as a tribute to singer/songwriter Scott Hutchinson (Frightened Rabbit) who took his own life in May 2018. They hope to raise awareness about mental health issues, which can be as serious and devastating as physical ailments.

Lead singer Laura Nelson has enough power to shut up any unwanted audience chatter during their live shows, while guitarist Craig White plays a wealth of chopped riffs on top of Graham White's zooming bass and Steven Nelson rather busy, but catchy drumming.
