Romantic Warriors IV – Krautrock (Part 1) crowdfunding campaign

Film makers Adele Schmidt and José Zegarra Holder have launched a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo.com to cover the costs of putting the finishing touches on their Romantic Warriors IV – Krautrock (Part 1) documentary. They have set a $20,000 flexible goal:

Developed in Germany in the late 60s and early 70s, and largely divorced from the traditional rock influences of British and American bands, the so-called Krautrock genre contributed to the evolution of electronic music, techno and hip hop, ambient music, minimalism and avant-garde.

In order to organize the large amount of material that we filmed over the past three years, we have divided Romantic Warriors IV into two parts. Part 1 focuses on the bands in the Cologne, Düsseldorf, and Hamburg regions, and Part 2 (to be released in late 2019) will be focusing on bands of the Berlin and Munich scenes . Both documentaries are feature lengths stand alone films.

Through interviews with "Krautrock" musicians, clips of live performances, photographs, and current/archival footage, the films will bring you onto a journey of remarkable times of musical innovation that has shaped the decades after.

Bands featured in Romantic Warriors IV – Krautrock (Part 1):
Can, Faust, Kluster, Cluster, Kraftwerk, Floh De Cologne, Neu!, La Düsseldorf, Japandorf, and Harmonia.
