Scarecrow Collection: last show of the current line-up

Last call for the current line-up of the Scarecrow Collection. The September 6 show at Mexicali Live, Teaneck, NJ is the final one with Nick Setteducato:

Scarecrow Collection is a constantly evolving musical adventure that over the last ten plus years has taken us to many places and shown us many things. Our friendships have grown through mutual respect of each other not only as musicians but as people. We have grown into a family. It is through these connections we have been able to use the collective energy to express ourselves and create a sound that truly is our musical watermark. As we move forward, we come to a new chapter in the band's history that we wanted to address with everyone. This Saturday September 6th will be the final show featuring the current lineup for several months. Nick Setteducato will be leaving the band for an indefinite period of time to work on assignment in New Zealand. We are unsure what the coming months hold for the band and our music, but we are open and optimistic about the future. We understand that this comes sudden and the update may be brief, but we wanted to let everyone know directly as s soon as possible and hopefully see some familiar faces on Saturday. The remaining members of the band still plan to continue to create new music for you, but in what capacity we are unsure at this time. As we know more we'll do our best to update the site on the happenings of the band and our music.

Thanks for the love and support you have shown to us through the years. We can't thank you enough.

Scarecrow Collection: radio frequency disaster

Some albums are well worth waiting for. Scarecrow Collection (SCC) released their second album radio frequency disaster in April, but due to some transatlantic snafus it took forever to reach the desk of Here comes the flood. OK, rant over. There is no stinker/filler track song among the 13 tracks. The album navigates with ease between genres with a few constants: great keyboards and proud vocals. They have been playing live a couple of hundred times and it shows: the songs sound tight but loose, which is lot easier said than done.

SCC made a record that many an aspiring jam band can only dream to pull off on day. No signs of the dreaded "second album" syndrome - radio frequency disaster is a 101 for what a rocking jam band outfit should stand for in 2007. Catch them live now, so that you can bore your kids with stories about how you saw SCC way back when they were still playing in intimate venues.

Scarecrow Collection:
Joe Fee: drums
Gerard Fee: guitar, vocals
Ed Fritz: keys, vocals
Nick Setteducato: guitar, vocals
Mike Sojkowski: bass

Introducing: Give Us the Money Lebowski

The Dude

They are the ultimate bar band: Give Us the Money Lebowski, a side-project with members of the Scarecrow Collection and lots of guests tearing through the classics and jam band favorites. Music that will make you thirsty and get you drunk. No problem, 'cause the band will keep on playing, no matter how much they had to drink. In their own words:

Lebowski is a quintet of musicians that graduated with a doctorate in the study of "bringing it hard, consistently" in the modern day incarnation of this concept. Weaving a vast array of musical genres into one Technicolor tapestry of spelndiforousness that envelopes its loyal underground following all along the Northeast, Lebowski will not only make you dance, smile and laugh, it will also punch you in the stomach, spit on you and steal your wallet....but in a good way.

Yup, their shows are on archive.org. The Dude abides. "Just take it easy, man".
