Since NYC avant-jazz keyboardist Marco Benevento took up singing he is slowly moving towards a mainstream sound, but with enough quirks thrown in to appease his longtime fans. He has just released Send It On A Rocket. another single from his new album Let It Slide that will be released on September 20 via Royal Potato Family. The track features his most personal lyrics to date, a tribute to his longtime friend Richard Swift, who was set to mix the record until his passing.

NYC avant-jazz keyboardist Marco Benevento appears to be gravitating towards lo-fi art rock. The psychedelic video for Let It Slide finds him in full singing mood, with his wife Katie Benevento (backing vocals) and Karina Rykman (guitar) helping out. It is the title track and lead single from his new album that will be released on September 20 via Royal Potato Family. Producer Leon Michels oversaw all of the proceedings during the recording process, something that Benevento always shied away from.

Marco Benevento: Winter tour dates, "Invisible Baby" comes to vinyl

NYC Avant-jazz keyboardist Marco Benevento hits the road for a solo Winter tour. He is working on a new album that will be released in April. Expect some tunes from that album.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of his solo debut album Invisible Baby his label Royal Potato Family will reissue the album on limited edition splatter color vinyl.
