Oakland based musician Daniel McKenzie loves to mess with people's expectations. As per usual the third track on the forthcoming album Language Lessons by his one-man ambient project Identical Homes is odd in a good way. Holding the Night’s Attention starts out as a mellow and dreamy tracks, before the lo-fi beeps and beats of a vintage arcade game find their way in. Time travel isn't real thing, but with music you can come close to conjuring up the past.
Language Lessons will be released via Parks and Records. Release date: August 7.
