The Kinks: "Echoes Of The World" documentary
The Echoes Of The World documentary about the Kinks' album The Kinks Are The Village Green Preservation Society has popped up on YouTube. The album was a flop back then, but it is now widely regarded as one of their greatest records. Director Charlie Thomas talked to Ray Davies, Dave Davies and Mick Avory. Noel Gallagher, Paul Weller, Andy Partridge, Natalie Merchant and Sugg wax lyrically about this quintessentially Englishness of the songs. Put the kettle on and enjoy.

HCTF's Guilty Pleasures: Van Halen - You Really Got Me
Watch the Van Halen promo video for You Really Got Me. Their take on the Kinks classic was over the top and came with quite possibly way too many notes by Eddie van Halen, but it works. It got them tons of airplay in 1978 and made their self-titled debut album million seller.

The Kinks: In Mono Box Set
All of The Kinks in mono has been collected for a massive 10CD box set: the first seven studio albums and a wealth of EP's and rarities.
This box collects The Kinks first seven LPs, Their albums from Kinks to Arthur as well as 3 extra CD’s collecting the EP’s and remaining Mono material as well as a 32 page, pop annual style book with new notes, rare photos, memorabilia, discographical information and more.
Each CD is housed in a digipack, encased in a rigid Dansette style box to hold all the digipacks and book. The Kinks first 7 studio albums in mono are: Kinks, Kinda Kinks, Kontroversy, Face To Face, Something Else, Village Green Preservation Society, and Arthur The other EP disc contains Kinksize Session, Kinksize Hits, Kweyt Kinks, Dedicated Kinks, the other two discs entitled The Kinks mono Kollectables contain various singles from around the world.
The Kinks In Mono Box Set is released on Universal.
