UK psychedelic indie rockers Kassassin Street go deeper into dance with their latest single Talk In Riddles. They heaped tons of effects on the vocals and went for a dry, robotic drum sound. The bands guitar players don't add much too this one, but the keyboard player is pulling out all the stops. They must have been listening a lot to Tame Impala's Currents album.

With the upfront an and rather basic dance electronics it's not as catchy as its predecessor Radio Silence, but the build-up is nice enough and the vocals sound more confident. For now they can be labeled as a dance rock act.

UK psychedelic indie rockers Kassassin Street are painting with broad strokes on their new single Radio Silence. It can be tricky to transfer a live favorite to the studio. Producer Duncan Mills made sure they kept the energy intact, putting the tugging guitar line upfront in the mix, adding a handful of effects to the vocals and building a wall of synths to top it off.
Radio Silence will be released on August 14th via Screaming Goat Records.
Kassassin Street have come up with a catchy mix of psychedelic and power pop. Their latest single To Be Young is a barely contained declaration of self-confidence. The Southsea quintet is on a roll right now. They got engineer Dan Grech (Radiohead, The Kooks) to mix the track.
To Be Young will appear on a special Record Store Day vinyl release alongside previous singles Centre Straight Atom & The Royal Handkerchief Ballet.
