Chicago psychedelic blues quartet Crown Vic Royal have posted the video of them playing two tracks from their new Cosmic Nights EP - Peyote Embers and In the Palace of the Desert Birds - plus two songs from their back catalog. It takes them some time to settle in, but it is a nice intimate mini-concert. Fingers crossed that they can play for an audience soon.

The memories about what went down exactly are a bit hazy, but lead singer Buchanan gives it his all trying to connect the dots. Recommended if you like Ry Cooder and cosmic country.
Chicago quartet Crown Vic Royal play old school blues rock, with a bit of country like it was all the rage in the Seventies. The three tracks on their new There's Still Time tick all the required boxes, save" for the backing vocals who have a tendency to come in late and get in the way of the groove.
When live music eventually returns to the Windy City, they can provide a set of heartfelt originals. Some bands just can't quite cut it in a studio, but were destined to thrive on stage.
