Richard Morton Jack's "Nick Drake: The Life" book in June

In 2014 author Richard Morton Jack go the OK from the estate to write his book about English singer-songwriter Nick Drake. The long wait is almost over: Nick Drake: The Life will be in the shops in June. Forword by Nick' sister Gabrielle and Joe Boyd, who discovered him, has giving his blessing as well: "This is the book we've been waiting for - the one Nick's legacy deserves and so badly needs. Richard Morton Jack has reconstructed Nick's life with great sensitivity and care, and in remarkable detail. It is a biography to be treasured".

Elvis Presley: graphic novel in August

A graphic novel about Elvis Presley will be released via Z2 Comics. The book covers the rise of the King of rock 'n'roll. The book was created by Chris Miskiewicz and Marvel Comics artist Michael Shelfer. The deluxe editions are rather pricey, but the hardback and paperback versions are affordable. Preorders will be shipped in August.

Gregory Curvey: Hawkwind Encyclopaedia book cover & poster

Gregory Curvey (The Luck of Eden Hall. Custard Flux) is not only a multi-instrumentalist. He can draw and paint as well. He made the cover art for Dave Thompson's book Hawkwind Encyclopaedia, depicting the band's interpretive dancer Stacia. He is selling prints from the cover and a poster with an alternate version via Bandcamp.

Jorma Kaukonen: "Been So Long: My Life and Music" autobiography

Guitarist Jorma Kaukonen has written his autobiography. In Been So Long: My Life and Music he looks back on the Jefferson Airplane, jamming with Jerry Garcia, Janis Joplin and Bob Dylan, and his longtime work in Hot Tuna with Jack Casady. The latter penned the afterword. Former Airplane singer Grace Slick contributed the foreword. The hardback edition comes with a CD of live music.
