English old school vaudeville blues trio Jo Carley and The Old Dry Skulls have put together a rollicking good times compilation album. For 13 they handpicked 11 tracks as well as both songs from the double A-side single from their side-project Carley's Wreck and Ruin.

They have gone for utterly danceable spell-binding tunes from the get-go, rooted in timeless folk and blues, seasoned with a wicked sense of humour that means trouble in a good way. As a primer for their music it's a pretty damn fine one, an invitation to dig into back catalogue and fine even more gems that did not make it into this collection.
