Iggy Pop on dealing with six string guys

Iggy Pop has some advice about dealing with guitarists. More wise words in an interview with Guitar Player.

Basically, when you work with guitarists, you have to sneak up on them. Universally, the singer’s position in these relationships is that you’re all dressed up and ready to go at 11 am — "Okay, I’m going to write a song today"— but the son-of-a-bitch guitarist is still sleeping at 2:30 pm! And by the time he does get up, he has a girlfriend to deal with, or what he’s playing is crappy. You have to be alert. There will be a time when he’s going to play a certain little thing, and then you jump.
