The Claypool Lennon Delirium have announced their third album - a concept one - The Great Parrot-Ox and The Golden Egg of Empathy, due for release on May 1st via ATO Records. Les Claypool and Sean Lennon share a love weird tales and the single The Golden Egg of Empathy proofs that their twisted take on psychedelic art-rock is in full force. The album comes with 24-page comic book created with director and drawing maestro Rich Ragsdale, who also made the video.
The Great Parrot-Ox and the Golden Egg of Empathy, is a cautionary tale of what could be in store for humanity if we continue to favor machines over men. It is a tale of a technocracy eclipsed by paperclips; a young man destined to unravel the fabric of his father’s folly, and a sacred feathered Goddess (played by WILLOW), who holds the egg-shaped key to their future.
The band is part of the Claypool Gold '26 US tour, an extravaganza with Claypool's other bands Primus and The Frog Brigade.
