Ruben Block, singer and guitarist with Belgian power trio Triggerfinger, has released That's Just The Way, another single form his his solo album Looking To Glide, out on September 30 via Pias (coloured and black vinyl, CD, digital). Using the upper echolons of his vocal range, he builds an atmospheric, come hither rocker with a tugging backbeat.

Ruben Block, singer and guitarist with Belgian power trio Triggerfinger, will release his solo album Looking To Glide on September 30 via Pias (coloured and black vinyl, CD, digital). The tracks were recorded in Antwerp and Santa Monica, California, with American musician and record producer Mitchell Froom acting as his partner in crime. It was a prolonged and cumbersome process for obvious reasons. Awake, one of the album singles, "is a slow burner, a mix of blues and a bit of Pixies-inspired guitar".

Turn The Tide mixes dance-inspired electronics and rock to create a push-pull vibe. He performed it live on digital radio rock station Willy and this stripped down version is way more intense.

Ruben Block, singer and guitarist with Belgian power trio Triggerfinger, has unveiled a video for his latest single, Awake. It is a slow burner, a mix of blues and a bit of Pixies-inspired guitar. The song was co-written with American producer Mitchell Froom. It took some stops and starts to finish it, but all that hard work paid off. It is his best solo outing so far.

Ruben Block, singer and guitarist with Belgian power trio Triggerfinger, has just released his first solo single, Lights. He does not stray to far from the band sound. The track is still rooted in blues, with less guitar and more electronics. The mix could have done with less muffled vocals, but that can be traced back to his love of eighties production values.
