Belgian sludge/post-rock trio Pothamus have made a video for Ykavus, a track from their forthcoming new album Abur. The track moves at a glacier pace, with elongated notes and dreamy, chanted vocals on top. If they had electricity in the Middle Ages it might have sounded likes this.
Abur will be released on February 14 via Pelagic Records (vinyl, CD). They will perform the album in full @ Roadburn in Tilburg on April 20.
Belgian sludge/post-rock trio Pothamus have posted a short documentary about the recording of their new album Abur. They did not go for the easy route to create the additional sounds they needed, because they felt that using samples won't feel natural. They brought extra instruments to add to their sonic palet.
