Big Block 454: live at Salford Centric, May 2002

In May 2002 avant-garde trio Big Block 454 drove to Salford to perform at the Salford Arts Collective Event at St.Philip's Church. Various bands played to short silent movies that were shown on three screens. Les Howarth (Real Times Images) was on hand to film the proceedings.

Colin Robinson (fretless bass, drum machine), Pete Scullion (guitar), Liam Robinson (guitar) were followed around Salford, setting up their gear and performing. The band had all but forgotten about this footage. Colin Robinson stumbled upon a DVD. He did some editing and is now sharing it on his YouTube channel.

Jumble Hole Clough: Live at the Nutclough with Pete Scullion, 23rd April 2016

A meeting of musical mates happened at the Nutclough Tavern in Hebden Bridge on the 23rd of April when Pete Scullion joined Colin Robinson's one-man band Jumble Hole Clough for a set of improvised instrumentals. They were founders of Big Block 454 in 1988 and hadn't shared the stage since 2002.

Robinson has become a regular fixture during the Saturday night happenings at the Nutclough Tavern and a steady flow of live recordings from his appearances have found their way to Bandcamp. Besides his Jumble Hole Clough solo output there may new releases of his varous collaborations (Churn Milk Joan, The Clog Hunt Occasional Collapsing Knitting Society and Doggerland). And, who knows, even a new Big Block 454 album.
