They stay closer to home this time, picking traditional folk songs. Great harmonies and a lonesome electric guitar. The band recorded all songs live to two-track in their hometown Austin, TX.

Okkervil River: Free "Golden Opportunities" Mixtape

Okkervil River is offering a digital mixtape called Golden Opportunities as a free download. These guys have excellent taste.

We recorded these songs at radio stations, at shows, in peoples' apartments, in hotel stairways. They were done here and there all around the United States and Europe, with the eventual intention of being rounded up in this collection. You can download artwork for the album from this site for making a physical copy of the CD packaging.
