German progressive jazz rock sextet Kabasse have unveiled an animated video for Encore, a track from their forthcoming album About Sitting On Fences: "With all musicians in the same room playing together, the listener gets the role of a fly-on-the-wall, having to focus on the delicate interplay that only happens when the players are in sync and in control of their instrument all the time. Only then does spontaneity add to the end result, because they can use the spaces that they leave open for each other to do their thing. No safety net needed, because they each other's back, creating a rich tapestry of sounds that seems to change with each listen."

Kabasse: About Sitting On Fences
German progressive jazz rock sextet Kabasse is led by keyboard player Sigmund Perner, who had bits of pieces of the music for the About Sitting On Fences album in the back of his brain. All he needed was some downtime, so he could finally finish his vision of creating an amalgam of jazz and post-rock and capture on a medium that could be duplicated and shared with the outside world. Recorded live during an inspired studio session the five tracks explore the crossroads between genres, with jazz as the dominant factor, but also incorporating elements of 70s prog and textures that are mostly associated with soundscapes.
