Jane Lee Hooker: No B!

NYC blues rock quintet Jane Lee Hooker have been making waves on the live circuit with their loud and energetic shows. Their debut album No B! is a mix of originals and tried–and–true covers from the electric blues songbook. It is a tough call to add something new and fresh to Mannish Boy or Champagne and Reefer, but these ladies pulled it off.

They have graduated from small bars to small rock clubs and built a following through word-of-mouth. They are on the bill for the Mountain Jam festival this year and that's a sign that the blues rock world is taking notice.

With their tight but loose twin guitar front-line, an ace singer and a rhythm section who seem to be communicating through telepathy Jane Lee Hooker is destined to become a household name among fans of hard-hitting blues rock. Recommended if you like Low Society and Janis Joplin.
