Italian alternative electronic rock trio Hypergear is now a solo act. Singer and guitarist Sascha Giordano cites differences in "priorities" as the main reason in a vlog. The departure of his band mates did not slow him down that much and the 3-track EP What Are We Going to Do with These? (Suffering: A Guide for Empathy) is the last stop before the release of a full album.

Hypergear: Death Screening
Italian alternative electronic rock trio Hypergear are obsessed with technology, but don't turn a blind to the side effects. The new single Death Screening asks some pretty serious questions mental health in the social media era. Addiction, loneliness and the subsequent fear of missing out can be crippling. They wrapped their meessage in towering arena rock, topped off with sci-fi sound effects.

Hypergear: Selenium Hunters
Italian alternative electronic rock trio Hypergear go wall-to-wall heavy prog on their new single Selenium Hunters, with vintage sounding sci-fi lyrics. Have fun pointing out all the references. Spoiler: the Yes classic Roundabout gets a nod in the intro amidst the surf guitar bits.

Hypergear: Disclosure
Italian alternative electronic rock trio Hypergear take it slow on their new single Disclosure, a prog-influenced song about self-destruction and a crumbling love affair. Muse looms large again, but there is also a likeness with Welsh band Godsticks in their melodic approach> The quiet intensity makes this song about despair a gripping listening experience.

Hypergear: Buzz
Hypergear are an alternative electronic rock trio based in Milan, Italy, who don't shun grand gestures. Their latest single Buzz goes through hills an valleys, from all out progressive arena rock to gentle piano and back. They have obviously embraced modern technology - otherwise they could not have liked this - but they are not entirely sure that it wil make the world a better place when everyone is staring at their smartphones as the main means of connecting. Muse and Nothing But Thieves are huge influences on their sound. Singer Sascha Giordano has a powerful voice that can reach the upper reaches of big venues should they ever becomes as big as their heroes.
