The Sixties were the golden age for campy television series like The Avengers and The Persuaders (Roger Moore and Tony Curtis starred in that one). The special effects were pretty basic, but nobody minded the costs when they made the soundtrack for those kind of shows. Bring in the orchestra, guys! Singer Candie Payne from Liverpool released an albums worth of songs that would have fit in perfectly. I Wish I Could Have Loved You More is the kind of album that George Martin could have produced back then (he can't do it now -- he has severe hearing problems and is busy making a fool of himself with crap albums like The Beatles Love project).
