Chicago based singer-songwriter Lillian King tries to come to terms with the death of her father on her debut album In Your Long Shadow. Writing about the shared moments they had did help a bit, but the grief is almost palpable.
With folk rock and piano driven Americana as her go-to genres, she had created a beautiful memento that offers comfort to anyone who has the deal with loss, especially when the wounds of loss are still fresh. Heartbreak is an overwhelming emotion, so it will be hard for her to top this debut.
Lillian King: acoustic guitar, vocals
Nick DePrey: keys, electric guitar, bass
Robert Salazar: drums
Ted Collins: upright bass on "Tiber Creek"
Bailey Minzenberger: bass on "Underwater" and "Context II"
