Kelly Rosenthal loves to play live. The tracks for her for you, my love, with love were captured at a performance in Highland Park, CA on August 29th, 2024. Warts and all, she left in the tuning and fiddling with a capo bits, which was a good call. Now it comes sounds like that she is sitting right in front of the listener. The Los Angeles based singer and guitarist names Jeff Buckley and Patti Smith as huge influences on her music, artists who bear their soul but are also always in control.
As a self-taught player with a great tone who can make an acoustic purr and roar, she goes through the hills and valleys of a relationship. Joy and fear of it falling apart are playing catch. Her phrasing may be smoother than the likes of Lauren Ruth Ward or PJ Harvey, but she is just as powerful. Her composing skills are not half bad either.
for you, my love, with love is a self-released EP. Buy it from her website.
Tracks:- Where Did I Go Wrong
- Silence, tuning
- An Opening
- Who Am I If Not Perceived?
- Divine
- Capo? Interlude

Recommended to set aside 40 minutes and watch her playing at the Handel Hendrix House in London. She breathes new life in a few songs that have been covered to death while she was at it.
