Jim Knable & The Randy Bandits are back with a new album filled to the rafters with folk rock songs, some of them with a country twist. Despite its title Pale Fire shines brightly, with the same warm sound that made their previous records Blue Reunion and Golden Arrow stand out amongst the competition.
Songwriter Knable shares his hopes and dreams, as well as his doubts and uncertainties in plain language. He is brutally honest, with his band providing a safety net besides being on point with a subtle mix of folk, blues, country and gospel. Musically it is a trip down memory lane, especially the early 70s, but do listen carefully to the lyrics and there is no mistaking that this a 21st Century album.
Pale Fire is released via Soul Kebab Records. Buy it from their website.
