Brooklyn multi-instrumentalist Kristina Moore burst upon the scene last year with her place is album, the first full-length album by her genre-defying art-rock koleżanka project. Her new single Canals of Our City finds her exploring the outer regions of avant-pop, her crystal clear vocals colliding byż a rough-around-the-edges arrangement. Imagine the Cocteau Twins trying to come to terms with noise rock.
It is the lead single from her forthcoming album Alone with the Sound the Mind Makes, due for release on February 16, 2023 via Bar-None Records.

Interestingly, my home city of Cardiff has just uncovered an old canal that used to run through the city to the Docks. It's intended that the new waterfront will become a Dutch-style cafe zone. Sounds great! Let's hope it gets treated with respect by the revellers.
