Ubiquitous Meh!: Songs Wrought Wrong

Luke Richards called in the assistance from Jodie Saunders and Michael Dugdale for Songs Wrought Wrong, the new album by his lo-fi project Ubiquitous Meh!. As per usual he is not above perusing the cheesiest organ sounds he could find and top it off with surrealistic lyrics, with Your Heart Is Still In Its Shrink as a contender for the weirdest shunned lover song ever. He might find himself playing a catchy tune, like the instrumental Jigsaw and the eerie psych Outta The Traps, but he is obviously having more fun when he makes it weird and creepy during Do You Want To Play Dress Up? and Gold Plate Coffin.

On Songs Wrought Wrong Richards gets it right every time, provided that the listener has an open mind and a sense of humour. No change in hell that this stuff will pop up in any mainstream playlist, but it can be used as a starter kit for those who are trying to make sense of Captain Beefheart and Jumble Hole Clough.

Songs Wrought Wrong is a self-released album. Buy it (CD, digital) from his website.
