Marianne Faithfull: "Broken English" deluxe re-release

The classic Marianne Faithfull album Broken English gets the deluxe treatment. The album was a critical success and relaunched her career, after being in the wilderness with serious substance issues.

Disc 1 has the original album plus the Derek Jarman directed short film of Witches Song, The Ballad of Lucy Jordan and Broken English. Disc two has the original mixes that were supposedly lost back then and her rendition of Sister Morphine, a song she had first released back in 1969 but re-recorded for a special Island 20th Anniversary 7” and 12” release of the album in 1982. A couple of remixes fill out the set.
