On his aptly titled EP Covers L.A. songwriter Greg Laswell tackles Echo & The Bunnymen, Morphine, Mazzy Star, Kristin Hersh and Kate Bush. His version of Killing Moon follows the beaten track, with a Mexican flavored trumpet solo to spice things up a little. The best track is Your Ghost, which sounds even sadder than the original. A little less use of echo for This Woman's Work please.
