Mike Farris: Salvation In Lights

Mike Farris: Salvation In Lights

Artists who have found God have an urge to sing about it all the time. Former Double Trouble member Mike Farris went through the proverbial substances abuse hell and decided to dedicate his life to Jesus.

Salvation In Lights contains a few classic gospel songs, a rather bleak cover of Sam Cooke's Change Is Gonna Come and five originals. Mike Farris is outsung by his background vocalists and suffers from a new found humbleness that makes him hold back on the guitar playing. This album is a below par blues rock record with rather corny lyrics. Maybe he should pray some more to be truely inspired.

Salvation In Lights is released on INO Records.
