The Boxing Lesson: Wild Streaks & Windy Days

Bands are still channeling David Gilmour these days. The Boxing Lesson is into psychedelic rock with a garage twist, the kind of band that would have ended up on a Nuggets compilation. The trio from Austin, TX, have a new album with a Moog featuring prominently in the mix and yes, those guitar licks from the Pink Floyd guy make an appearance. Let's face it: a song title like Dark Side of the Moog is a dead giveaway.

The Boxing Lesson: Wild Streaks & Windy Days

The Boxing Lesson is a band that will go down well with lovers of late sixties Floyd and UK bands like Echo & The Bunnymen and The Cure. It's not all slow and spacey though - the trio is perfectly capable of unleashing the garage beast in tracks like Hanging with the Wrong Crowd.

The Boxing Lesson:
Paul Waclawsky: vocals, guitars, triwave
Jaylinn Davidson: vocals, synths
Jake Mitchell: drums, samples

Wild Streaks & Windy Days is a self-released album. Buy it from CD Baby.
