Modern Guitars Magazine caught up with Robby Krieger. He has some sound advice for aspiring guitarists:
I would say, go back. Go back further than Van Halen 'cause there is a lot of cool stuff to be learned from the guys in the '60s and '50’s and before that even. A lot of the old blues guys... there is some great stuff that you’re missing, you know, if you don’t go back that far.
And yes, there's some Doors/Jim Morrison stuff in the interview as well.
