NYC post-punk trio The Wants paint a bleak picture on their new single, Data Tumor. People are treated like commodities, not as individuals any longer. The video depicts a woman trying to escape from it all by hiding in the woods, taking a piss, having a questionable sandwich, and running out of cigarettes.
It is the 80s all over again, albeit with updated software to get that in-your-face menacing backing track bouncing off the walls. It is a track from their forthcoming album Bastard, due for release on June 13th.
