Pete Francis w/ Barefoot Truth: Wake the Mountain

American folk acts Pete Francis and Barefoot Truth kick off their collaborative tour tonight. Wake the Mountain, a new five track EP documenting their musical partnership, is available for pre-order at Barefoot's virtual shop.

Wake the Mountain is a folk-tinged collection with a country feel, including a nice version of the classic Quinn The Eskimo (The Mighty Quinn). Release date: March 17.

Pete Francis: Iron Sea And The Cavalry

After enjoying a fair amount of word-of-mouth success with Dispatch, NYC singer Pete Francis has gone solo. His new album Iron Sea And The Cavalry is a mainly acoustic affair filled with songs that will go down well with indie loving singer/songwriters crowd. A bit more adventure in the arrangements would have nice, though. The album feels a bit too clean.
