Dutch indie quartet Library Card have inserted a bit of art-rock and jazzz into their new single Breakfast of Champions, a fast-paced song about trying not to care, celebrating small everyday victories, and learning from mistakes while they are it. "It's a great success and nothing less" is a bold thing to sing - albeit tongue firmly in cheek - and they can get away with it just fine. Fans of English Teacher will love it.
Library Card:
Lot van Teylingen: vocals
Mitchell: guitars, effects
Kat Kalkman: bass
Emre Karayalçin: drums, percussion
Breakfast of Champions is released via A Ease (vinyl, cassette, CD). It is a track from their Peeling An Orange In Just One Go album, due for release on November 6th.
