Utrecht gave birth to legendary hardcore band John Coffey in 2005 and now has to face competition from within the city limits. The members of State Power have all the energy, the speed and the attitude to make a splash. They have made two EPs so far - The Year of the Harvest and Final Hour, which were received quite well. Their new single Schizoscene hits hard and will likely start a quite lot of moshpits during their Spring festival appearances - club shows will bring back stage diving for sure.
Their first full-length, Hyperstition. takes a swipe at the unholy union between tech bros and capitalism. Release date: August 28. It is available for pre-orderhere.
