Psychedelic London trio The Stingrays are taking the piss as well as embracing the perks of living in the big city on their single He Said To Me. The song starts out as a slacker indie tune with a catchy backbeat, before imploding and/or exploding, turning it into noisy mayhem that somehow does not fall apart.
They cite the Kinks as a major influence, which means that they have their work cut out for them to come close to Ray Davies' way with words, but there is nothing wrong with being ambitious and a bit overreaching. The video was made by Clint Frift.
