Irish singer Rosie Carney looks back at the dark side of her youth on her new single Sixteen, when she went through a period of existential dread that came back to haunt her in the present. Anxiety and the fear that she might be dying were turned into an alternative pop song about self-reliance against all odds. Co-written by her producer Ross MacDonald (The 1975) it became the centrepiece for her forthcoming new album Doomsday... Don't Leave Me Here, on which she faces her demons, before spitting them in the eyes.
Sixteen is released via cool0nline x Ultra Records. It is available on all the usual digital services. Her album Doomsday... Don't Leave Me Here hits the shops on February 27.
