The members of Dutch-Cypriot pink-punk band Honey Blonde have only been playing together for a year, but that doesn't show on their debut single Crystall Ballroom. Semeli Theodosiou, Jade Bogaart, Valentina Charalampous and Eva Burger have catched the second wave of riot grrrl acts with this loud tale about a night on the town that could have gone South in umpteenth ways. They came out as clear winners, leaving the sketchy men who bothered them into in the dirt.
Take note of the bass player setting up a conversation with the drummer's cymbals - a 101 for getting their audience dancing their asses off. A second single will drop soon, followed by an EP in February.
