Somewhere in the 90s punk became much more melodic when bands like Green Day and Alkaline Trio suddenly found themselves entering the charts of the mainstream. Following that blueprint Toronto based quartet Wasting Time have released a lot of music, but until now a hit record has failed to materialize.
Maybe the new single Ripped Blue Jeans will make a splash, as it ticks all the boxes of high energy punk with a pop twist: upbeat, deceptively simple lyrics and singalong potential. It is a first taste from their new album Are You Out Of Your God Damn Mind?, which will be in stores next year.
