Rocker Rich Hope played two shows in his hometown Vancouver earlier this year. He picked the best performances for a high energy album, Live At The Anza Club. No frills, no special effects - one of the tracks is called 3 Minute Song plain and simple - just a spicy mix of blues rock and country that comes howling from the speakers.
It is fast, it is dirty and it is catchy as Hell, proof that you only need a tight band, a good rock club and knowledgeable sound folks to capture the magic to make it so for the listener to be there as well.
Rich Hope: vocals, electric & acoustic guitars
Scott Smith: pedal steel & electric guitars, harmonica, backing vocals
Erik P.H. Nielsen: bass, backing vocals
Darryl Havers: keys, accordion
Leon Power: drums, percussion
Live At The Anza Club is a self-released album (vinyl, digital). Buy it from his website.
