The Puncturists: I'm Not Alright

English garage punk quartet The Puncturists are well aware that a feel for melody can lift a song above the basic three chords approach that is the Achilles' heel of most bands in their niche. Makes no mistake, their full-length I'm Not Alright, is not for musos, but fans of The Shirts and X-Ray Spex will flock to the dance floor, busting a move or at least nodding appreciatively.

They sing about everyday hassles, getting older (55), show an expected love for France, urge the listener to donate blood, and of course getting shafted by promoters (They Don't Pay Support Bands). Some piece and quiet every now and then is very welcome (Leave Me Alone) as well. O, and assuming that everything is cool and froody is not OK by all means. Title track I'm Not Alright will shut up anyone who thinks so.

The Puncturists:
Gail Townsend: vocals
Martin Gregory: drums
Pat Crawford: guitar, vocals
Dale Farrow: bass, vocals, guitar, keyboards
