New music from progressive cult band McLuhan? Really? After the band released their sole album Anomaly in 1972, various line-ups kept the flame burning, playing the record in full, but it was only after original member Neal Rosner retired as a radiologist to become a full-time musician that the itch to create something new became a feasability. The current line-up of the band features two more original members, so soundwise continuity was ensured.
Meet King Bizzzarroo, an orchestral j'accuse and warning mixing the characters of Superman adversary Bizarro and the dangerous nutjob who resides at the White House. Democracy is in serious danger, with people lapping up the concepts of fake news and alternative facts. McLuhan are on the right side of history with a luscious protest song.
McLuhan:
Neal Rosner: vocals, bass
Tom Tojza: keyboards and organ
Luke Meyer: drums
Mitch Marcus: guitar
Bart Coyle: trumpet
King Bizzzarroo is a self-released single, available on Soundcloud and Spotify.
