Scottish sisters Eva and Grace Tedeschi play old school poppy rock with their duo The Cords. They were picked up by BBC6 early on and copies of their debut cassette and a flexi single were snapped up eagerly by fans on twee pop with a twist. The next logical step was recording an album. Lead single Fabulist is an upbeat putdown of people who have trouble telling the truth, compulsive liars who can spin unlikely tales while keeping a straight face. With just drums, guitar and vocals, they pass with flying colours. Less is more indeed.
Fabulist is released as a limited edition lathe-cut 7" and CD single via Skepwax (UK - vinyl, CD) and slumberland records (US - vinyl, CD, cassette). The self-titled album will be released on September 26.
