English musician Joshua Scarratt got sober in January 2024 and took up the one habit that gives him a buzz: music. His EP Riding Through The Desert Of My Dreams serves both as closure and a new beginning. He felt quite lonesome - digital interaction is no substitute for the real thing, but he is ready to face the world again by way of creating dreamy pop with an edge.
Next time he suffers a heartbreak, he intends not to reach for means to block out the pain, but turn it into a song instead.
