Canadian alternative folk rock band The Wilderness Of Manitoba have gone through some changes since the release of their last album, Across The Dark, in 2017. Founding member Will Whitwham has teamed up with Victoria Carr (vocals, acoustic guitar), Tavo Diez de Bonilla (bass, vocals), and Adam Balsam (drums, vocals, guitar, keyboards). Lead single The Alchemist, an exploration about the fleeting nature of time and using dreams as a means of travel, serves as a taste for the new full-length, Farewell To Cathedral, due for release in the Fall. Glorious vocal harmonies are playing catch with the acoustic and electric guitars. The video is a mix of footage shot by Whitwham over the course of all four seasons.
Really nice record this one. That guy Whitwham looks familiar, I'm going to have to look up what Uni he went to, he reminds me of someone I met hanging out backstage at Van Mildert Jam Night back in about 2001!
