The Boston Boys: Idea of Love

The Boston Boys turn it up just a little on their new EP Idea of Love. The Brooklyn based roots quartet won't blow up their speakers, but they dip their toes in electronics in the opening track The Beginning and Become Like One. Traditionalists will like the acoustic Between You and Me, with its Irish vibe. Bluesy doo-wop gets an outing in You Don't Need Me.

By putting the vocals are a bit upfront Idea of Love sounds more confident than its predecessor Keep You Satisfied. It wouldn't hurt to use the Les Paul more as their weapon of choice. Nobody will yell "Judas" if they do.
