Jonny Rumble: JR

Jonny Rumble is a at crossroads with their new album JR. They released a Courtney's Basement in 2009 and those two rock oriented songs were a sign that their punk days were over. JR moves even further away form the three chords punk attitude and now they are gravitating to pop and even electric blues, the musical genre that will be forever associated with their hometown Chicago.

Mixing genres and sampling cuts from a varied musical palette isn't a problem so long as you incorporate them into a sound that is truly your own. JR isn't a bad album - it just lacks personality.

Jonny Rumble:
Brian Webb: vocals, guitar, harmonica, organ
Patrick o'Connor: guitar, vocals, piano, organ, glockenspiel, bass
Jeremy Pryor: bass, vocals, guitar, piano, organ, bells
Seth Thomas: drums, vocals, percussion, piano, organ
