Liverpudlian quintet The Dream Machine are in full-on retro mood on Things That Make Us Cry, a sad psychedelic pop song that manages to be uplifting as well. Melody is key and the vocals commandeer the spotlights most of the time, before an infectious keyboards motif steals their thunder.
It is a track from their new album Fort Perch Rock, due for release on February 27 via Run On Records, which will be available in a wealth of formats (all of them including a signed 4-track bonus CD).
